1 - Munsell N7 Neutral Matt Grey
Not all greys are neutral! A “neutral” grey is not simply a black-white mix, but an equal mixture of all the spectrum (r-o-y-g-b-i-v) colours.
For the eye to see colour accurately, it is imperative that the background of the custody images be chromatically neutral. It minimizes colour pollution and variation of image backgrounds caused by reflections from chromatic surfaces.
2 - Designed by us and made with an industry leading supplier the custody chair used in the booths is height adjustable allowing capture of all sizes of subjects.

3 - Daylight balanced lighting (5000k) is essential to capture natural skin tones and hair colour of the subject where these may be deciding factors in the investigation.
Ideally, like passport photobooths, we’d prefer to use a curtain/closed system. However, due to custody processes the side must be left open.
This can create issues with extraneous lighting of a different colour temperature to enter the booth adding shadows and colour changes.
Forces are advised to alter room lighting to match the booth or turn off when completing an image capture.
